Environmental Racism

When I first heard about the idea of Environmental Racism, my first thoughts were why and how our government would allow such a practice to occur. After hearing Zaccai talk about the actual statistics and facts behind Environmental Racism on friday, I was convinced that we as minorities are in danger and need to do more to bring about change. Zaccai spoke about the injustices that go along with placement of landfills and other polution that are placed in minorities communities and how it affects our children. I am happy to have become informed about the topic of Environmental Racism and will continue to spread the word around campus.
